- Newspaper clipping attached to verso of photograph reads: "Stan Roberts, vice-president, SFU university services, and his wife, Pia (between Governor-General and Mrs. Michener) took the vice-regal visitors on a Simon Fraser campus sightseeing tour on Monday. They are pictured on top of the rotunda. Earlier Mr. Michener presented Malcolm Aspelet with the Stanhope Gold Medal, the Roual [sic] Humane Society's top bravery award, at a ceremony in Vancouver.
