This portion of the road was near Still Creek. (Fred McPherson was Municipal Engineer at this time.)"

The area looks wooded with tall grasses growing to the right of the photograph. An annotation on the back of the photo reads: "Pictures taken at the old ranch, year 1911 / My first team of horses - Barney and Frank." The ranch is the old Gilley Brothers Ranch that his father purchased in 1906.
