Canada Registration Board - Certificate -- [1918]. Certificate for Elizabeth May Swank of 2319 Fernwood Road, Victoria. The certificate states that Elizabeth May Swank was registered for the national purposes of Canada on June 22nd, 1918. The certificate also states that the certificate must always be carried upon the person of the registrant.
Object History
Elizabeth May Thomas married Edward Crawford Swank in Nanaimo, B.C. in 1912. Edward Crawford Swank had a maritime career and his papers are held by the Vancouver Maritime Museum. http://vancouvermaritimemuseum.com/sites/default/files/null/Edward_Crawford_Swank_Fonds.pdf They were Burnaby residents and resided on Kathleen Street in 1970.
