The first group is carrying two large banners reading: "ERIKSDALE / SENIOR" and "ERIKSDALE / HS". The second group is walking a short distance behind them, and are holding banners reading "HARTFIELD" and "LAFONTAINE". As a teacher in Eriksdale, Manitoba, Rhoda Mae Jeffers may have been a part of this parade. The road is lined with buildings, including one with a large sign reading: "SMITH / GARAGE".
