The Jesse and Martha Love Farmhouse - Leaflet -- [1998]. Information leaflet for the opening of the Jesse and Martha Love farmhouse. The front of the leaflet has a sepia toned photograph of Jesse Love standing in front of the garden, Martha Love and one of their daughters standing on the porch of the house. Inside, there is a picture of the reproduced wallpaper and information regarding the house. On the back of the leaflet is the City of Burnaby logo for Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services. The leaflet measures 18cm x 13.5cm.
Object History
This artifact was used at the official opening of the Love Farmhouse exhibit, November 29, 1998; for distribution.

Serving platter, 16 X 12 inches. Made by J & G Meakin, Hanley, England. It is a [C]haplet patern. Blue patern with raised dots around the top edge. The patern is raised on the short sides of the oval. There is a chip on the inside of the bottom surface. "21 is pressed into the underside.
Object History
This platter was handed down from Martha Love through three generations to the donor.

A large fence runs alongside the house with plants growing up it and a large holly tree is growing next to the verandah.The Love farmhouse was built in 1893 by Jesse Love and was located at 1390 Cumberland Road at the corner of 14th Avenue (after 1960- address was changed to 7651 Cumberland Street). The Love farmhouse was relocated to the site of the Burnaby Village Museum in 1988 where it was restored to the 1920s era.
