The contest was part of Edmonds Junior Secondary 94 anniversary and closing celebrations in 1988. On the top half of the leaflet has a large cartoon of students on a slant pushing a teacher along. Below the first cartoon is another a man lying flat on his back with a lump on his head with another man standing above him. The bottom half of the leaflet is the entry form for the favourite teacher and principal contest. The leaflet measures 21.5cm x 35.5cm.

Don Copan was an active member of the Burnaby Centennial ’71 Committee and later became the founding President of the Century Park Museum Association. While a member of the Burnaby Centennial ’71 Committee, Don created a scrapbook album of photographs and ephemera documenting the Burnaby Centennial ’71 Committee’s involvement in celebrating British Columbia’s Centenary of Confederation between January and December 1971 including Burnaby’s Commemorative Project – Heritage Village (Burnaby Village Museum).

Burnaby's Men's Club plans pioneer "meeting / house" as 20th Anniversary Community Project" [1974]. Item is a promotional leaflet of the South Burnaby Men's Club (S.B.M.C) to raise funds to build a "Village Church" in Heritage Village. Back of leaflet provides information on the S.B.M.C. Village Church Committee including names of chairman, treasurer and honorary [sic] directors and a fillable form for donations.

Created by South Burnaby Men's Club and collected as promotional material by Century Park Museum Association who governed Heritage Village Museum. The Village Church opened at Heritage Village in October 1974.

Capitol and Dominion Theatres - Program -- [1921]. Program or schedule for the shows at Capitol and Dominion Theatres in Vancouver B.C. for the week of July 25, 1921. The front of the program has an illustration of a woman in a yellow gown, black and white wrap and elaborate yellow and white hat. The inside page of the program gives information about the shows for the Capitol Theatre, while the back of the program provides information about the shows for the Dominion Theatre. Both the Capitol and Dominion Theatres were owned by Famous Players Canadian Corp'n Limited. The program was designed and printed by Nicholson Limited.
Object History
Donor's father, Frederick George Gorse, played bassoon in the Capitol Symphony Orchestra, house orchestra at the Capitol Theatre located at 820 Granville Street, Vancouver. The program highlights a solo bassoon performance by Frederick Gorse.
