- Lancelot and Martha Jane Grimmer had four children: Lancelot, James, Irene, and Amy Grimmer. Martha May "Mattie" Grimmer was Lancelot Sr.'s sister. Irene Grimmer married William Pattison and the pair had a son, Richard Pattinson.

The school was called Burnaby School from 1894 to 1896, and then East Burnaby School from 1896 to 1907. The present day address of the site is 7376 Canada Way.
