The second group is walking a short distance behind them, and are holding banners reading "HARTFIELD" and "LAFONTAINE". The road is lined with buildings, including one with a large sign reading: "SMITH / GARAGE". There are also some cars parked along the roadway. People are standing at the side watching the procession.

- This footage was originally shot in 16 mm, on Sunday, April 11, 1971, and broadcast on CBC television. The original footage was silent: when it was broadcast, a news announcer read from a script to describe the events. In 2011, the footage was digitized. The original script was read by an actor, recorded, and added to the digitized footage to create this film.

The film has a break and continues with footage of the Digney family travels to the Calgary Breweries, Calgary Zoo, and the Calgary Stampede parade and fairgrounds, Alberta, closing with footage of the Rockies and Rogers Pass.
