- Label contains characters that are literally translated to: a brand name; "to invigorate the yang" (aphrodisiac)"; "three"; "whip"; "medicine"; "wine"; and "tincture" (medical alcohol/wine). When adjusted for English comprehension, product is "Three whip tincture". The tincture includes a mixture of Chinese medicinal herbs with the addition of tiger penis and deer penis to replenish energy. It has the function of replenishing qi and invigorating qi, replenishing blood, nourshing the the kidney,increasing male libido, treating the lack of appetite, refreshing the mind, getting rid of wind in the body, and improving circulation. The sale of all secret formulae non-pharmaceutical medicinal preparations in Canada is regulated by The proprietary or patent Medicine Act. This law legalizes the sale of such remedies only upon condition that the quantities of the potent drugs used in their manufacture are within the limitations set by an Advisory Board, and that these quantities are printed on the labels and wrappers used in connection with the medicine and, further, that no false, misleading or exaggerated claims or representations of a cure for any disease are made on the labels and wrappers, or in any other manner respecting this article.

- This item originates from the Chinese Herbalist Store "Way Sang Yuen Wat Kee & Co.", Victoria, B.C. This could posssibly be the packaging for the tea leaf that were used to prepare Shen Nong tea or it could be the tea that the shop owner/staff prepared for their own consumption. The same shop listed on the label is still operating in Hong Kong (as of 2018) at the same location.

- The label on the front of the box has product informtion in English: "Pang Yu Tai Lung Kee / No. 113 Bonham Street / Victoria. Hong Kong." Below this is more information on the tea. The side of the box has a painted design of flowers with a red box in the middles. The outline is in black, the top is rounded. Inside there are black Chinese characters. Text literally translates to English as: "a surname", "abundant, plentiful", "peaceful, most, safe, grand", "grand, intense, swell, thriving, sweet" and "remember, record". Chinese characters reveal the name of the pharmacist, Peng Yu Tai Long. It is written on the box that the effects of the tea are "removing sunstrokes and fevers and when taken after meals it would increase the power of ingestion".

This has been adjusted for English comprehension to:: "rosewood". Uses: Rosewood is a type of tree that grows about 10-15 meters tall. It can be found mostly in Hainan, China. It can be used to help stop bleeding and relieve pain. It's also used in the treatment of vomiting of blood, hemoptysis, bruises, rheumatism, lower back pain and heart disease.

- Part of the 1912 C.W. Parker Carousel. Carousel horse No. 3, "Champion." 3. "Hunter's Pride" style, roached mane jumper, upright neck, head forward, mouth open, ears back. Colour: Brown black. Trappings: Red brown stippled saddle, bronze trim. English Setter dog's head on back of the cantle. Hare and rifle hanging under the side edge of saddle. Red and white blankets with amethyst cabochons and emerald facetted jewels and gold trim and fringe. Gold bridle with emerald jewel in concho. Neck collar is red with gold trim set with amber, emerald and clear jewels. Red breast collar with stylized gold flowers and trim, emerald jewels and red-gold fringe. Clear jewel in bronze breast plate.

- Part of the 1912 C.W. Parker Carousel. Carousel horse No. 5, "Phar Lap." "Cowboy" style stretched out jumper. Forward neck and head, ears back, mouth open. Colour: This horse is painted like the original Australian race horse, "Pharlap," from the 1930's. Red chestnut, white socks on back legs, white star on forehead. Trappings: - Buckskin or "new leather," toned stippled saddle and fender, with dark brown trim. Coiled lariat hanging from front of saddle, tri-colour English Setter dog head on back of cantle. Revolver hanging from back of saddle on horse's hip. Two saddle blankets in shades of muted turquoise and sea-green, with gold trim and white fringes. Clear and peridot (light green) jewels on blanket, amethyst cabochon jewels on saddle fender. Clear diamond-shaped jewel in sea-green breast collar, banded in gold, with emerald green jewel in gold breast plate. White brown and bluish feathers on shoulder. Deep-toned sea-green bridle, with emerald jewel in gold concho.

- Tin, metal box with hinged lid. Lid has coloured portraits of Prince Albert and Queen Victoria. Each side has portrait of Queen Victoria from four different years. Each portrait is framed with a gold coloured border and is surrounded by a few flowers.
- Object History
- On 22 September 1896, Victoria surpassed George III as the longest reigning monarch in English, Scottish, and British history. The Queen requested all special public celebrations of the event to be delayed until 1897, to coincide with her Diamond Jubilee. The Colonial Secretary, Joseph Chamberlain, proposed that the Diamond Jubilee be made a festival of the British Empire.
