In 1916 Murdoch McMurray partnered with Emerson Doran, nephew of the owner of Doran's Mill (an early mill in Deer Lake), to buy Edmonds Wood Yard from Mr. McDonald.They were the President and the Manager of Edmonds Coal and Wood Yard when this photograph was taken.
