- Scope and Content
- Photograph of the Andrew M. Johnson house "Glenedward" and surrounding property at Kingsway and Royal Oak Avenue. Andrew Johnson built the house around 1911, then occupied the residence until his death in 1934. His wife sold the property in 1943, after which, the place operated as a funeral home until 1980 or 1981. The building was then purchased by Wales McLelland development company, then went through a series of restaurant owners' hands.

- Photograph of a paved road lined with electric posts, a sidewalk and fences. There are two unidentified men in suits and bowler hats standing on one side of the road, each by a different electric post. A car is driving towards the horizon. An earlier catalogue record from 1988 notes that the view is of Kingsway looking east from Willingdon Avenue towards the community of McKay and Kingsway. It also notes that the McKay Block is visible on the far right side of the photograph at McKay Avenue and Kingsway. The record dates the negative ca. 1914.

- Photograph of various flower displays with signs that indicate the prize they earned at the 14th Annual Central Park Agricultural Association and Farmers's Institute Exhibition. There are at least three First Prize flower displays in view and one Special Prize. This is most likely at the 14th Annual Exhibition of the Central Park Agricultural Association and Farmers' Institute that took place from the 17th to 19th of September, 1914. An earlier catalogue record from 1988 notes that the pictures hanging from the backwall are probably children's school work from Kingsway West School. It also adds the agricultural fair was held between 1902 to 1921 in the Central Park Agricultural Hall built in 1902 in Central Park on Kingsway and the B.C.E.R. tracks.

- File consists of images and selected contents from a scrapbook with 38 double sided pages containing mostly photographs with some newspaper clippings, written material and emphemera including a page of badges and ribbons which reads "Enrolment & Membership Card of / Joan Bailey 1926 / 1st Burnaby" and an embroidered alphabet of the Morse Code. The third page of the scrapbook includes a four page chronology titled "History of Guiding - Burnaby / 1913 - 1960" compiled by Mrs. Dolly Weber, Mrs. J. Heaps, Miss Eileen Periton, Mrs. J. Albertson and D. Fowler. The scrapbook also includes an original letter and post-script from Lady Olave Baden-Powell to Mrs. Fowler dated November 5, 1961; a typewritten copy of: "TSOONA" / PROVINCIAL GUIDE CAMPSITE - ROSEDALE B.C." and a three page typewritten copy of "THE CAMPFIRE / Volume 1, No. 4 _ November 1935 _ Vancouver, B.C.". - Photograph of Mr. Eric Warrington Howard Bennett standing on the doorway to a store with large signs for a branch of Dow, Fraser & Co. Limited for real estate, loans, and fire insurance. The trust company is advertised on the sign as having been established in 1900. There is another store in the building that is unidentified. Eric Warrington Howard Bennett was the branch manager of the Dow, Fraser company which started in Burnaby circa 1915. The store was located on the corner of McKay Avenue and the BC Electric Railway tracks. Later, a top storey was added to the building. An annotation on the back of the photograph reads: "Burnaby Branch Office. / E.W.H. Bennett / Manager."
