- The garland consist of several hundred small pieces of orange fabric in different patterns and shades. They are tied around the base, a thin white rope.
- Object History
- These items were collected as part of the Museum's response to the news of 215 unmarked children's graves found at the Kamloops Residential School in June 2021. These items came from engagement activities the public were invited to take part in for several weeks and consider the impact of the discovery in their own lives.
- This garland was built by members of the public tying an orange piece of fabric to a string. These garlands lined the Cedar Grove in the Village.
- There were a number of other elements to the commemorative display at the Museum. At the Church, there was a display of children's shoes and poetry. Visitors were invited to reflect and write a message to the children, the families or anyone connected to this tragic finding. Visitors were invited to write a message on an orange index card.

- Small grocery or shopping cart. The cart was produced by Folding Carrier Corporation of Oklahoma. This cart is called the Nest Baskart which features a levered back panel to easily nest multiple carts together when not in use.
- The body of the cart is formed by metal spokes welded together to form a cage like pattern.
- The top of the cart has a large basket like area for holding items. The bottom of the cart has a sloped shelf that could have held another removable basket.
- The handle of the cart is covered in a hard black material, possibly hardened rubber or plastic.

- Large plastic sign with internal backlighting for advertising. The sign has two sections for ad inserts and one section for price display.
- The price display is currently set up advertising the price of packs and cartons of cigarettes
- The first bank of prices are 3 digit with small windows that reveal the number on a roller behind. The second bank of prices are 4 digits.
- The sign was made by CDA Industries in Scarborough, Ontario and is stamped with "JULY 1986"
- There are three labels at the top of the sign including information about how to replace the lamps or reinsert unrolled numbers.
- There is a hole at the top of the sign for the electrical cord to come out.
- There are two white metal brackets attached to the ends of the sign and there is a rusted chain hanging from each bracket.
- The plastic at the bottom right corner on the back is broken and damaged.

- It has four columns of keys for dollars and cents, three additional columns of digit keys, and three columns of keys with various functions on them. An addition bar and cancel button are across the base, and a paper tape at the top.

- Cabinet style radio is a Stromberg - Carlson, Model No. 972, produced ca. 1940. It can receive standard broadcast and shortwave transmissions. It is also possible to plug in an electronic phonograph to have it play through the radio. There are six push buttons on the front that allow the user to preset stations for quick tuning. . Two of the stations, KOMO and KIRO, broadcast from Seattle, Washington and stations CJOR, CKWX, CKMO broadcast from Vancouver. There is also a CBR station which is the Citizens Band radio. Glued inside the radio cabinet is an envelope that contains a manual, "INSTALLATION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS / FOR STROMBERG-CARLSON NO. 972 RADIO RECEIVERS" and a warranty card "Stromberg-Carlson / Stromberg-Carlson Telephone Mfg. Co. of Canada Limited/ 211-219 Geary Ave. / Warranty Registry Department Toronto 4, Canada". There is also an envelope with three cards stapled together that have punch out radio station call letters. one for "CANADIAN STATIONS" and two for "AMERICAN STATIONS".
- Object History
- Originally founded in 1894 to manufacture telephones, the Stromberg-Carlson company also produced radio components, and began selling their own complete sets during the early 1920s. By that time, the radio craze had fully absorbed the American public, and radio pioneer RCA was cornering the market after scooping up over 2,000 broadcasting-related patents. Stromberg-Carlson entered the field by making smaller parts for tube radios. Eventually, the company applied its telephone-audio expertise to develop a successful line of radio headsets. In 1923, the company was licensed to produce the “Neutodyne” radio circuit designed by Dr. L. A. Hazeltine. Stromberg-Carlson’s first set came out in early 1924, and the company steadily grew its radio production, eventually requiring RCA licenses for several products. In 1926, Stromberg-Carlson became the first manufacturer to merge phonograph and radio technology by incorporating a phonograph jack into its radio chassis. By the end of the decade, Stromberg-Carlson sold sets with fully integrated radio and turntable technologies, and the company’s radio sales surpassed that of its telephones... The 1930s represented boom years for Stromberg-Carlson’s radio development, as it introduced new modifications like automatic volume control, improved amplifying methods, and an early push-button tuning mechanism. Ads from the late '30s emphasize other innovations, like the unique Stromberg-Carlson “acoustical labyrinth,” a complex baffle design which improved sound quality by guiding audio waves through a series of interlocking chambers, and its “Te-Lek-Tor” series, which included remote-control capabilities. “Let your dealer arrange an audition,” was the brand’s cheeky slogan, emphasizing its reputation for superior sound quality. Over the next 20 years, Stromberg-Carlson created an array of gorgeous Art Deco-inspired radios, from the sleek, ivory-colored 140-K console to the tabletop 225-H with its floral-patterned speaker grill and octagonal dial. After the company’s merger with General Dynamics in 1955, the business was restructured to focus production on telephone products, and its radios were discontinued.

- Motorcycle, made by the Canadian Cycle and Motor Co. (CCM). It was manufactured ca 1911, and it is identified as a Model 10. The serial number on engine is, M.T. 11098. The motorcycle has a bicycle style tubular, metal frame. The engine and fuel tank are mounted inside the frame. A leather link chain runs from the engine pulley to a large drive pulley on the rear wheel. The motorcycle is equipped with bicycle style pedals as well as the engine.

- Original owner's name found on bicycle by CCI staff in Ottawa. Last licenced 1923. That owner died in a car accident in 1924.

- This is a 1924 Ford Model T touring car with folding top and open sides. The body and upholstery is black. This vehicle has a battery and can be started with a key. It can be started by crank when necessary. It has electric head lights. This vehicle is in running order. Because this is a Canadian made Ford, both front doors are fuctional.

- The donor bought the vehicle from a friend who brought it to the Lower Mainland from the Kamloops area where it had been stored in a barn. It is believed to have belonged to a doctor in Kamloops.
