Photograph of the Bonsor Recreation Centre taken in 1985. Caption on original matte read: "Bonsor Recreation Centre, with the portion on the right (c. 1912) being the old Burnaby School Board offices, and then the Manual Training building of the Kingsway West school. The building was situated at the corner of Kingsway & Sussex (Sears Dept. Store property) and was donated to a small group of R.C.M.Police who moved to the Bonsor Park location in 1953. The portion on the left was the office of the old Orchard Auto Court which was situated at the corner of Kingsway & Willingdon. It was donated to the S.B. Men' (sic) Club in 1956 and attached to the other building at Bonsor Park. The S.B. Men's Club took over the operation of the R.C.M.P. Youth Centre in 1955."
