"Armoured Horse" style, stretched out jumper with legs extended, neck arched, head tucked in, ears erect and facing back, mouth open. Colour: Blue-black. Trappings: Medium reddish brown stippled saddle with gold trim. American shield on back of cantle. Antiqued silver armour plates on saddle blanket, bordered in gold and set with ruby facetted jewels. Three bronze saddle fenders set with sapphire jewels. Antiqued silver face and neckplate armour, trimmed in gold and copper, also with sapphire jewels. Red breast collar, gold trimmed with sapphire jewel in silver breast plate.

- Part of the 1912 C.W. Parker Carousel. Carousel horse No. 11, "Vivian." "Lillie Belle" style horse. Stretched out jumper with right foreleg extended. Neck arched, head tucked in, high-toss or "flaming" mane, ears erect and facing back, mouth open. Colour: Yellow-white. Trappings: - Dark green stippled saddle and saddle skirt with gold fringe and two light green jewels. Gold bell and blue and white lily (morning glory) on back of cantle. Mauve saddle fenders banded with gold, sapphire and emerald jewels (facetted and cabochons). Light violet breast collar gold trim and emerald jewels. Gold breastplate centred with sapphire jewel. Purple bridle with emerald triangular jewels, gold concho with sapphire jewel. Jewelled gold and green leaf design on shoulder. Cluster of grapes and leaves hanging from saddle on horse's hip, two emerald jewels in leaves.

Indian head and green leaf design on the rear of blue green saddle blanket bordered in silver with amethyst cabochon jewels. Name: "The name Nipoti is Italian for grandchildren - honouring our grandchildren who have Italian great-grandparents interlaced throughout our family tree. The Italian connection has its roots in the USA, where a great-grandmother lived, and from where (of different fami¬ly roots) a great grandfather emigrated." Coincidentally the US flag is prominently featured in the decoration of this horse. (Many are familiar with "nepotism," meaning favouritism shown to persons related to those in high office.) This horse was painted to resemble "Big Ben," a Champion Canadian jumping horse. Colour: Chestnut with white socks on rear legs and white blaze. Trappings: Wedgwood blue stippled light racing saddle, and chincha with gold border and silver chincha ring. Fish behind cantle. Wedgwood blue neck collar bordered and buckled in gold. (Dorothy Wrigley decided to sponsor a horse to commemorate the birth of her grandchild, and fellow-volunteer Cice Brown asked to be a co-sponsor for her grandchildren too.) "When I was thinking about sponsoring a horse to commemorate the birth of our granddaughter, Cice Brown expressed the wish to co-sponsor a horse for her several grandchildren and a wonderful idea sprang to mind...we decided to jointly sponsor this gentle "stargazer" and name it guppy for the joy of all grandchildren." - The Official Opening of Heritage Village - Invitation -- [1971]. Invitation to the Official Opening Luncheon of the Heritage Village by His Excellency The Right Honourable Roland Michener, Governor-General of Canada along with the Mayor and Municipal Council of Burnaby. The invitation was addressed to "Mrs. M. Trainer & guest" for a civic luncheon at The Astor Motor Hotel on November 19th, 1971. At the top of the invitation is an illustration of a blue rhododendron flower and the British Columbia Centennial '71 logo. The invitation measures 18.5cm x 14.5cm.

- The invitation was issued to special guests to attend the official opening of Heritage Village (now the Burnaby Village Museum) in 1971, as well as a luncheon with the Governor General and his wife as special guests. This particular invitation was issued to Mary Trainer, who was the Centennial Co-ordinator charged with supporting the work of Burnaby's 1971 Centennial Committee, chaired by James Barrington. The Centennial Committee organized a variety of projects and events in 1971 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of British Columbia's entry into Confederation. The construction of the Heritage Village was their major project.

- This vehicle is a 1924 Ford Model T converted to a light delivery truck known as a "Depot Hack". The original body has been removed and an open wooden truck body has been custom built for the vehicle. The metal parts of the vehicle are painted black and the wood (mahogany?) is finished with a clear varnish. The radiator core is protected by a honeycombed front grill. The radiator cowling has the maker's brand stamped in the top. There is a white commercial license plate with red lettering mounted on right front of the dash, next to lamp. The vehicle has two electric front headlights and one rear light. It also has two incomplete carriage lamps screwed to the dash. There is one manual windshield wiper mounted on the vertical windshield. There is a horseshoe mounted on the right side inside of the dashboard. The "Buzz" coil box is mounted in the centre of the dash with a odometer on the left and key and meters on the right. The wheels have wood spokes and steel rims.

- This 1924 Ford Model T vehicle may have arrived in Steveston around 1925 and used by a local family. The 1924 Ford Model T Depot Hack truck was built from the running gear of the original Model T Ford by Ernie Harrison. Ernie purchased the running gear of the Ford Model T around 1966 and built it from the ground up. Ernie took measurements from a "Depot Hack" that belonged to a collector in Vancouver and combed swap meets in British Columbia and Washington State in search of original car parts. Ernie belonged to the Model A and Model T Ford Club and took this truck in many parades. Around 1969, the truck was sold to a private collector before being sold to another collector in 1995. The vehicle was acquired by the Burnaby Village Museum in 1997. The Depot Hack rear body is not authentic but the original concept has been retained.

- Nipple topped stone maul. It has a pointed tip and a slight indentation on side of base. There is adhesive residue on bottom of base.

- The donor inherited this artifact from his mother, Katherine Maude (Kitty) Peers, who inherited them from her father, Louis Claude Hill. The artifacts were found on his farm, Brookfield Farm, at Douglas Road and Sperling Avenue (now site of Burnaby Village Museum). In general, hand mauls are used in woodworking todrive antler wedges or spreading sticks into logs and split planks. They were also used in combination with chisels for detail work. Their presence at an archeological site is viewed as evidence of long term habitations. They are associated with house building, canoe building, housepost and welcome figure carving. Nipple top hand mauls are identified as Marpole Culture (400 BC - 400 AD).

- The donor inherited this artifact from his mother, Katherine Maude (Kitty) Peers, who inherited them from her father, Louis Claude Hill. The artifacts were found on his farm, Brookfield Farm, at Douglas Road and Sperling Avenue (now site of Burnaby Village Museum).
