- Green plastic price sign with slots for numbers to be placed. There are four sets of slots with three currently being used: "FOR" / "2" / "9".
- The numbers 2 and 9 are bright orange in colour.
- There are two metal hooks on the back of the sign.
- Object History
- Item was used in the Canada Way Food Market owned by Harry Toy between 1975 and the late 2000s. the building sat vacant until sold in 2023.

- A "PURE CLOVES", spice tin; small thin box with label wrapped around it; orange label has blue section in midde which is framed by decorative line design, very centre of label has cream box with lettering inside.
- Object History
- The Woodward's Department Store was first established in Vancouver at the corner of Hastings and Abbott in 1903. For the next nine decades Woodward's was one of Vancouver's major department stores. It was well known for its Christmas displays and the neon “W” on the roof. Woodward's closed its Hastings Street store in 1993. Woodward's was designated a heritage building in November 1996 and the site is currently under development for condominiums. (From the City of Vancouver website, 2008).

- Description
- The stork's body is made of paper mache. It is painted white with a yellow beak and elaborate eyelashes. There is a pink ribbon in a slot in the beak. There was originally a balance scale held in the beak. The legs are wood painted yellow the feet are cast iron to make the figure stand. The body lifts off of the legs. There is no noticeable damage. There are no makers marks.
- Object History
- Made for Helen's Children's Wear in early 1950's by Nettie Trainer, the mother of the store owner, Helen Arnold (nee Trainer). It was handmade. Nettie Trainer was a well known maker of custom figures for commercial displays. Helen's Children's Wear was located at 4142 Hastings Street. Owner Helen Arnold opened the store on East Hastings Street in 1948. She moved to the 4142 Hastings Street location in 1955, and added a landmark neon sign to the building in 1956. The sign featured a girl on a swing, and served as an important landmark in the neighbourhood. The store closed in 2007.

- Promitional tape measurer with a silver top plates and a gold body engraved on both sides. One side dark blue with ariel drawing of building and "Dairyland/ BURNABY PLANT/ 1964" engraved. Reverse is oval image of 4 cows in a field with mountains, sky, and a barn painted on a gold body with "FRASER VALLEY/ MILK PRODUCERS/ ASSOCIATION" in red. Top has a retractable silver steel tape with measurements in inches on one side. "Japan" engraved on base.
- Object History
- This object belonged to a sales representative for Dairyland, who lived in Chilliwack. He retired in 1978 after 40 years with the company. The Burnaby Dairyland plant was constructed in 1964 on Lougheed Highway near Sperling Avenue.

- Object History
- This was awarded to the City of Burnaby Planning Department by the Urban Development Institute in 1996 for the redevlopment of the lands which were Oakalla Provincial Prison from 1915-1991.

- Full-keyboard upstrike Smith Premier No. 2 typewriter made by Smith Premier Typewriter Company, 1904. It features a double keyboard, with rows of lowercase letters at the bottom and uppercase letters at the top. It includes typewriter, carrying lid, wooden platform, two typewriter ribbon spools, and an unrelated box that holds the spools.
- Object History
- Donor found object in an old building in Vancouver, ca. late 1950's - early 1960's. Smith Premier manufactured double keyboards until 1921, long after their competitors had introduced the "Shift" key which allowed each key to type both an upper and lowercase letter.
