- Built after the end of the First World War, this house features an eclectic blend of Arts and Crafts elements. Constructed for A.E. Brown and a full two storeys in height, it has a front jerkin-headed roof with a jerkin-headed side projection, and a corner wraparound verandah with tapered columns. The house has been maintained in near original condition, with original lapped wooden siding, multi-paned windows and square balusters.

- In February 1965, the Planning Department presented to Burnaby Council a preliminary Development Plan entitled "Pacific Sports Centre," for the area immediately west of Burnaby Lake. This report proposed a conceptual plan for a comprehensive range of indoor and outdoor sporting facilities adjacent to Burnaby Lake. The idea was accepted by Council and led to the construction of the Burnaby Lake Rink beside the C.G. Brown Pool. In 1973, Burnaby and New Westminster jointly hosted the Canada Summer Games for which a rowing course and pavilion were built at Burnaby Lake and the success of the games and the sports facilities added within Burnaby Lake Park provided further stimulus for the creation of the sports and recreation facilities at this site.

- The Thomas Irvine House is a very small, two room wood frame cottage, originally located on Laurel Street in Central Burnaby (now the site of the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex - West), and now relocated to the Burnaby Village Museum.
- Heritage Value
- The Thomas Irvine House is representative of an extremely modest, vernacular working-class cottage of the early twentieth century, once common but mostly now demolished. Irish-born Thomas Irvine (1864-1964) and his friend, Robert Moore, constructed the house in 1911 to suit the simple needs of a bachelor. Irvine worked on the construction of the British Columbia Electric Railway Burnaby Lake Interurban Line and was a pile driver by trade. The house consists of two rooms, a living room/kitchen and a bedroom. There were some improvements made throughout the fifty years Irvine lived there, such as running water in 1929, and electricity in the 1950s, but the essential character and form of the house remained intact. Irvine was a well-known local character and pioneer of Burnaby. The heritage value for this house also lies in its interpretive value within the Burnaby Village Museum. The site is an important cultural feature for the interpretation of Burnaby’s heritage to the public. The Thomas Irvine House was moved to the Burnaby Village Museum in 1975 and was restored to its 1920s appearance.

- This spoon was collected by Donald "Don" N. Brown. Don was involved with the Burnaby Historical Society activities and textual records pertaining to his career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. he donated many photographs to the City of Burnaby Archives because of his involvement with various community groups including the Oakalla Lands Citizens' Committee, renovations of Burnaby Village Museum, and the restoration of Interurban Tram no. 1223.

- Part of the 1912 C.W. Parker Carousel. Carousel horse No. 12, "Nareena." "Stargazer" style horse. Stretched out jumper, mouth open, ears back, head tossed up and back. Colour: Fleabitten (“fleabitten” is a term used to describe a horse’s coat that is speckled with tiny groups of darker hairs). Brown roan, white socks. Trappings: Medium dark brown stipple saddle, bordered in darker brown. Green leaves on back of cantle. Indian head and green leaf design on the rear of blue green saddle blanket bordered in silver with amethyst cabochon jewels. Brown toned eagle wing ahead of saddle and coming from the mid-yellow breast collar bordered in silver with amethyst jewels. Wolf pelt hair hanging from breast collar, with silver breast plate centred with amethyst jewel. Brown bridle with amethyst jewel in silver concho.

Neck arched, head tucked in, mouth open ears erect and facing back. Colour: Yellow-white. Trappings: Red brown stippled saddle with dark brown trim, yellow saddle skirt. Deep pink roses on back of cantle. Red tint and gold toned drape, sprays of pink wild roses and green leaves ahead of and behind the drape, ruby and emerald jewels as centres of wild roses. Yellow breast collar with bow, all bordered with red with amethyst jewels. Clear jewel in gold bridle concho and breast plate. Wild roses with ruby jewel centres and green leaves on neck.

- Dress with coat. c.1930. Brown china silk. Brown and yellow embroidered flowers. The coat and dress are attached. Long sleeves, sash tie collar, button trim. The 'coat' has a roll collar that falls in a deep V neck, and extends into long sashes that tie at the V point. The armholes have a corded binding. Jacket is actually sleeveless, and the sleeves attach instead to the dress beneath. They are quite loose, with a seam at the elbow. From this point to the wrist, there is a split in each sleeve. The slits are tacked back together at the wrists. A few inches below the sash tie, there is a seam in the jacket at the natural waistline. A belt is tacked to the sides and closes in the centre front with snaps. The centre front of the jacket is left out, and along the inside edge of either side front panel there is a heavy trim of metal self-fabric covered ball buttons from beneath the hips to the hem. At each side and at the centre back, there is a slit in the jacket from the knees to the hem, each trimmed in the same buttons. The dress beneath is made of the same brown silk, with an allover pattern of white and dark brown embroidered flowers. Only the sections that are visible beneath the jacket are made from this material; the covered sections in the bodice are made of ivory silk, and the covered section in the skirt are made of the same material as the jacket. There is no shaping in the dress. The jacket and dress hems both fall to calf length.

- Menu belonged to Hilda Higham Page who was a member of the Burnaby Cougars lacrosse team in the 1930s. The Burnaby Cougars women's lacrosse team was formed in 1930. The Burnay Cougars home field was located in Central Park and practices took place at Kingsway West School, Burnaby. Les Greenwood was the Cougars' first coach followed by Chief Andy Paul and Bill Bayley. Bill Fowler was manager of the team. The Burnaby Cougars won the championship in 1934. In 1937 the Burnaby Cougars re-organized as the New Westminster Cougars and fielded a team in B.C. Senior Women's Lacrosse League.

- Ten, brown-paper-wrapped bottles from "A.S. Watson & Co." Each has commercially made brown-paper label with Chinese characters. Yellow label sealing one end of package has company name and company logo of dragon and horse. Individual bottles were originally packaged together in brown paper and tied with string.

- This item originates from the Chinese Herbalist Store “Way Sang Yuen Wat Kee & Co.”, Victoria B.C. Watsons is a member of the A.S. Watson Group, which started as the Canton Dispensary and Soda Water Establishment, founded in 1828 as a small dispensary, with the mission to provide free medical services to the poor people of the Southern Chinese province of Guangdong (also known as Canton). It moved to Hong Kong and re-emerged as the Hong Kong Dispensary from 1 January 1843. The company began trading under the name A.S. Watson & Company in 1871. Now, the A.S. Watson Group (or A.S. "Jumper" (semi-stargazer), back legs extended, front legs bent, erect neck, head and nose up and out, ears facing back, mouth open. Colour: Light Palomino, white blaze and socks. Trappings: Medium green stippled saddle edged in gold. Fish back of the cantle. Royal purple blanket with four yellow stars, edged in green and gold fringe. Royal purple breast collar edged in green, with gold breast plate shield medallion with yellow star on purple background. Green bridle with gold concho.

Dorothy Wrigley explains "The arrival of our first grandchild was a joyful occasion for the Wrigley family but it was some time before the tiny baby girl received her name, Saralyn. - Uniform dress – long-sleeve blue cotton uniform dress, four (4) black buttons with GGC & trefoil logo down front of dress, two breast flap pockets with brown button closures, two hip flap pockets with black button closures, two tab epaulets at shoulders with black button closures, tag inside collar reads: “OFFICIAL UNIFORM / GIRL GUIDES / ASSOCIATION / STORES DEPARTMENT / TORONTO, CANADA”. Wings (Brownie) sewn above left pocket. 2 year star with brown felt backing pinned to left pocket flap. Salvation Army Badge sewn on left pocket front. Three white stripes of adhesive cloth tape applied vertically to the front of the left breast pocket. Two B.C. Provincial Hat badges are pinned to the left collar point (these would not normally be worn on the uniform itself). Religion in Life badge (yellow alpha & omega symbols) sewn above right breast pocket. Gold Cord worn threaded through the right tab epaulet of the uniform dress and then hooked behind the button of the right breast pocket flap. Badges sewn vertically on right sleeve include: Woodcraft emblem (silver tree on right shoulder epaulet), must earn a group of other badges to get woodcraft emblem (outdoor activities); Little House emblem (Queen Elizabeth II’s doll house at top of right sleeve), must earn a group of other badges to get little house emblem (indoor activities); Hostess (green teacup & saucer), Laundress (green iron), Musician (green lyre), Fitness Fun (green figure with arms raised), Life Skills (green crossed keys), Sport (green figure with jump rope) Sewing (green scissors), Citizen (green maple leaf), Cook (green gridiron), Health (green serpent), Singing (green music staff with notes G, B, and D), Postal (green winged envelope), Writing (green feather quill & inkpot), Knitter (green yarn ball & needles), Reporting (green feather pen & paper), Fire Safety (green firefighter’s helmet), Swimming (green life preserver), Pioneer (green crossed pick & axe), Hiking (green Viking helmet woodcraft sign), Forestry (green deciduous tree), Astronomy (green Great Bear constellation), Camper (green tent) and Tracker (green rabbit tracks). - Salvation Army Guide uniform dress belonging to Virginia Blake, early 1960s. From the 6th Vancouver Salvation Army Guides on Hastings Street. Salvation Army was affiliated with Girl Guides (1937) of Canada until 1998. Worn with brown leather belt, beret, folded triangular company tie. The three white stripes on the right breast pocket indicate that wearer was a company leader. The more stripes you had, the higher your rank. A single white stripe, sewn down the center of the pocket, would have indicated that she was a patrol seconder. Two stripes would indicate that she was a patrol leader. White adhesive tape was used so that the Guider didn’t have to unstitch and re-sew the stripes as they gained rank.
