Description
The pamphlet holder is made of sheet metal. The back, interior and base are painted green.The front face is alternating stripes of four redish orange and three cream paint with the words "TAKE ONE!" printed on the bottom cream stripe. There are holes in each corner for mounting the holder. On the bottom tab is painted in white paint "1216" possibly from interurban #1216. At the top is a blue tape stamped with "BCER 1216-B69". This holder would have been used to display copies of "The Buzzer", a free weekly newsletter published by BC Electric Railway.

A brass handle which has a vertical sleeve at the end with a tapered square hole in it. On the underside is cast in smaller type " C-7414" although the last "4" is suspect. Stamped in the same location is larger type "C 8173".
Object History
Used as a key for a street car controller handle. This key was used to activate the street car and moved up or down make it go backwards or forwards. The tram could not move without its key.

B.C. Electric Railway Co - Ticket -- [1951]. Ticket for one Continuous Passage Between Vancouver and the Burnaby Fare Zone on the British Columbia Electric Railway Company. The ticket cost 20 cents and is stamped with "43802". The ticket is buff coloured with a green pattern over the front of the ticket. The ticket has been hole punched twice. There is a partial blue stamp on the back side of the ticket. The stamp would read "B C E RLY/ CO LTD/ FEB/15/ 1951/ CARRALL ST." The ticket measures 5.8cm x 3cm.

The ticket has been hole punched three times. There is a partial blue stamp on the back side of the ticket. The stamp would read "B C E RLY/ CO LTD/ FEB/ 24/ 1951/ CARRALL ST." The ticket measures 5.7cm x 3cm.

The ticket is buff coloured with a red background. The ticket is stamped with "55748". On the reverse side of the ticket it states that the transfer may be issued between North Vancouver Street Car Lines and Street Car Lines within Vancouver prior to January 1st 1929.
