According to an earlier catalogue record from 1988, the view is looking East, and the mountain rising in the background is Burnaby Mountain. The record also dates the negative ca. 1914

heard.
The next house we lived in was up
above on Barnet Road. It became the

from Sapperton over the North Road to a
place called Aliceville at the intersection
of the Barnet Road. This was a distance
of8 miles and heavily timbered soon after
we crossed the Brunette River. I should mention here that Aliceville
