- The B.C. Games were established in 1977, and the first summer games were held in 1978. In 1984 the B.C. Summer Games was held in Burnaby. Premier W.R. Bennett's vision for this organization was "an opportunity to bring all parts of BC together, large and small communities, in the spirit of sport and friendship". Commemorative pin for the 1984 B.C.
