- Guaranteed Dental Plan - Certificate -- [1918]. Dental plan certificate for Mrs. T. Osecki-? which entitled her to a year of dentistry work including teeth cleaning and polishing three times a year, extraction of bad teeth, free examination and diagnosis. The certificate cost $2.50. The Dental Office was in Calgary, Alberta.

- Civil Defence Canada - Certificate -- [1945]. Certificate awarded to Herbert Russell Parsons as a volunteer worker for Civil Defence in the war. In the middle of the certificate is a gold seal from the Department of Veteran Affairs. The certificate is dated September 5, 1945.
- Object History
- The Government of Canada issued these certificates to the Air Raid Precautions (ARP) volunteers who served during the Second World War. Mr. Herbert Parsons served as a ARP Warden in the Jubilee area of South Burnaby.

- Object History
- Certificated belonged to Dorothy Pitman who was a Girl Guide in the 1st Burnaby Company. She was known to be involved with guiding from 1919 to 1931. Textual records and photographs of the Pitman family, including one of Dorothy and her sister Gwen, are held by the City of Burnaby Archives. Dorothy and Gwen's parents, Ernest and Jean Pitman, owned McKay Dry Goods and Jubilee Dry Goods.
