- Victorian Order of Nurses (V.O.N.) seal is the tabletop stamping type which imprints the words "VICTORIAN ORDER OF NURSES" and "BURNABY BRANCH"; official; stamper is black metal, lever at top; "MADE IN CANADA" at side of base; seal disc is brass; label at front transcribes the words on the seal.
- Object History
- The Victorian Order of Nurses for Canada is a non-profit charitable organization created for the purposes of home care and social services established in 1898 to perpetuate the memory of Victoria the Good. The Burnaby Branch of the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) was established in 1912 with Miss Colhoun as its first nurse. Florence Hart was born in 1898 in New Westminster, and moved to Burnaby when she was 13. Her family lived in what is now known as Hart House. Both Florence and her husband Harold Godwin were awarded life memberships from the VON (Victorian Order of Nurses) for more than half a century of service. - Sandwich griller. Rectangular with a flared bottom which forms a rim 3 cm out from the top edge. Hinged top which allows access to the interior which is comprised of flat, slightly depressed surfaces; with cord.

- Object used by donor's mother, Annie A. Harding, at their house on Clydesdale Street, ca. 1920-1940.

- Description
- Black, metal scale with a number of parts including; base, cradle, dish, weights, hanger, support bar, calibrator. Gold font along base reads "Champion". The iron plate of the scale is 24 cm by 38 cm. From the base ofthe scale to the top of the weighing pan is 40 cm high. The graduated bar is 32 cm long and will weigh up to 48 pounds. The body of the sale is made of heavy metal, but the pan support is made of a lighter type. THe post for the weighing pan has four small arms extending up from it which hold in a pivot fashion, the four pins of the end of the weighing arm. They project from the circular base of the arm which also has on it a hook that is depressed when weights are placed on it. At the time of accession, the scale had three different weights two 1.5 lb weights and a 1/2 pound weight.
