Description
National Songs of the Allies - Sheet Music/Song Booklet -- [1914]. Booklet of music containing the National Anthems for the allies from World War I. The booklet contains songs for Great Britain, Canada, Australia, India, South Africa, Serbia, Japan, Russia, France and Belgium. The front cover has six flags from the various allies. The songs were translated by J.A.S. and arranged by T Martin. The publication was copyrighted by R.E. Forsyth in 1914. For Canada both "The Maple Leaf Forever" and the French version of "O Canada" is listed. The booklet is staple bound and is 20cm x 27cm.

Donor inherited object from the estate of her mother, Lilian Jean Reche (Morrison) (Peterson) Sauer. of Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan.

La Culture Physique La Femme - Magazine -- [192-?]. Exercise magazine in French called La Culture Physique La Femme. This is issue Number 2, that focus on "Pour Conserver L'Harmonie Des Lignes", and was written by M. Bourache. The magazine was produced by Méthodes Nilsson - Les Sports Pour La Femme, under the direction of Madame Milliat, the president of the Fédération des Sociétés Feminines Sportives de France. The front cover of the magazine has a woman performing an exercise on the ground. The magazine measures 16.5cm x 25cm

Description
For his country's sake - Memorial Card -- [1917]. Memorial card for Lieutenant Lawrence Labell Davidson of the 5th Battalion C.E.F. The front of the card has a silver and black border. In the centre is a cross with a wreath below it and two Union Jack flags at half mast on either side with the flag poles crossing at the top of the cross. Below this is "For his country's sake." Inside the card are the same borders. On the left side is the 5th Battalion crest for Western Cavalry. On the right side is information in silver text about Lawrence Davidson. He was wounded at Passchendaele on November 11th 1917 and died in hospital on November 25th in No.14 General Hospital, France at age 21. The bottom of the card says "Regina 1917".

Description
To My Dear Mother - Postcard. Small postcard with embroidered fabric centre. The British Union Jack and the French Flag are embroidered on the fabric along with small red flowers and green leafs. At the bottom of the fabric is "TO MY DEAR MOTHER". The fabric in the centre of the card is split into two pieces and unfolds to reveal a small card with a blue stamp on it with "To my dear Mother" written again. On the back of the postcard is room for a written message. The card was made in France. The postcard is 8.5cm x 13.5cm.

The Dead Horse Corner Gazette - Newsletter -- [1916]. The Official Journal of the First Canadian Infantry Brigade called "The Dead Horse Corner Gazette". The journal markets itself as "A Trench Journal of Breezy Comment...". This edition of the journal is Number 3, for June 1916. The journal was published with permission from the General Officer Commanding First Infantry Brigade, B.E.F., on Active Service. There are 12 pages and the journal was priced at one Franc. The journal was printed by John Heywood Limited by Trade Union Labour in Manchester and London. The journal measures 22cm x 27.5cm.
