- Reproduction of a 1921 peanut tube radio; plain box with woodgrain finish; front is black with many dials and knobs; "NORTHERN ELECTRIC COMPANY" plaques;
- with two sets of headphones and plug; on headphone set "TRIMM DEPENDABLE" "TRIMM INC. LIBERTYVILLE ILLINOIS U.S.A."; on plug end, "PJ-055B"
- Object History
- Radio is a replica of the 1921 Northern Electric peanut tube radio built by the donor for exhibit in the dining room of the Love farmhouse. Love family members recall that Jesse Love purchased a peanut tube radio for his youngest daughter Hanna Victoria Love when she was the last child at home (after his wife Martha died in August 1920).
