Up until the 1950s, pharmacists provided most prescription medications by creating compounds of bulk products that were given to customers as pills, salves, or tonics. Clear glass, storage jar with square base, shoulder to round mouth with metal lid. The jar is 1/3 full of light yellow-brown powder and residue. Exterior has light coloured paint (?) splatter on front side of jar. Discoloured, rectangular label attached to front, commerically printed, with blue text and hand-written, pencil text.
