- Description
- Part of the 1912 C.W. Parker Carousel. Carousel horse No. 6, "Scampering Dawn." "American Beauty Rose" style, stretched out jumper. Neck arched, head tucked in, mouth open ears erect and facing back. Colour: Yellow-white. Trappings: Red brown stippled saddle with dark brown trim, yellow saddle skirt. Deep pink roses on back of cantle. Red tint and gold toned drape, sprays of pink wild roses and green leaves ahead of and behind the drape, ruby and emerald jewels as centres of wild roses. Yellow breast collar with bow, all bordered with red with amethyst jewels. Clear jewel in gold bridle concho and breast plate. Wild roses with ruby jewel centres and green leaves on neck.

- Carousel horse. Part of the C.W. Parker Carousel on display at the Burnaby Village Museum. Name: Sponsors Dennis and Cice Brown note: "The name Scampering Dawn contains all of our families initials, with lots of letters left over for future family members." Sponsors: Dennis and Cice Brown.
