- Photograph of Burnaby Police Department members. They are posed in two rows, one row seated and one row standing. The back row begins with; Sergeant David Maxwell, Constable Jack Woolens, Constable Eddie Godwin, Constable George Jeffery, Constable Peter Kelsburg, Constable Hatt-Cook, Constable Gordon Waddell, Constable Corbett. Seated in the front row are; the Police Commissioner, Reeve Alexander McLean, Constable Parker, Chief Constable Devitt, [Police Commissioner] Albert Armitage, and [Stuart] Jamieson. A motorcycle is parked on either side of the group, and a large spotted dog is lying in front.

- Description
- Lapel pin and card. Pin is round, gold-plated sterling silver. Wide white enamel border has gold "WOMENS WAR WORK" in upper part, "C.R.C.S." at bottom, and thin gold inner and outer borders. Centre of pin is pebbled gold ground with red enamelled cross, gold border. Reverse of pin has locking pin back, and raised lettering "STERLING", 'S' in oval beside it. Back is tarnished, gold-coloured. Front has some soiling and wear.

- Burnaby Municipal Police shoulder bar for jacket. Cast in one piece in metal. Letters are connected by integral bars. Secured by mounting posts and cotter pin.
- Object History
- Jacket shoulder bars issued to Constable George Jeffery. George Jeffery served as a Constable on the Burnaby Police Force from 1912 - 1935. His patrolled the large Central Park District by foot, stretching from Boundary to Royal Oak and Marine Drive to Moscrop. Over the coarse of his duties, Constable Jeffery saw the need for recreational activities in the area. He founded the Burnaby Athletic Association which featured a competitive boxing ring and gym. In 1935, when the Burnaby Police became the British Columbia Provincial Police, rather than leave the community he chose to leave the force. George Jeffery than worked at the nearby Oakalla Prison Farm until retiring in 1945.
