- Description
- Souvenir teaspoon from the 1984 BC Summer Games held in Burnaby.
- The spoon is metal with a silver finish. At the top of the handle there is a small emblem surrounded by a fillagree design. The emblem has a green background with a gold illustrated bee mascot wearing a crown and holding a torch.
- The handle of the spoon has a cross-hatch design.
- Object History
- This spoon was collected by Donald "Don" N. Brown. Don was involved with the Burnaby Historical Society activities and textual records pertaining to his career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. he donated many photographs to the City of Burnaby Archives because of his involvement with various community groups including the Oakalla Lands Citizens' Committee, renovations of Burnaby Village Museum, and the restoration of Interurban Tram no. 1223.

- Object History
- Postal scale used by Harriet Woodward at the Burnaby Lake Post Office. The Burnaby Lake Post Office was run out of the Woodward cottage, owned by Harriet and Maude Woodward. The cottage was a prefabricated cottage erected in 1904. Harriet also began a small private school in the cottage, the first in Burnaby Lake. The cottage was enlarged with several additions until 1912 when the Woodwards built a new house.
