Part of the 1912 C.W. Parker Carousel. Carousel horse No. 35, "Annie." "Jumper," back legs extended, front legs bent, neck erect and slightly forward, nose forward, widely open mouth, ears back and facing to the side. Colour: Leopard spot Appaloosa (black and grey), variegated mane and tail. Trappings: Russet stippled saddle, skirt and scrolled fender, with darker russet edging. Indian corn cob on the back of the cantle. Apricot quilted blanket edged in turquoise. Turquoise breast collar edged in gold, with small apricot drape inset on shoulder. Apricot breast plate medallion edged in gold. Russet bridle with gold concho.

Description
Part of the 1912 C.W. Parker Carousel. Carousel horse No. 36, "Royal George." "Jumper," back legs extended, front legs bent, erect neck, head up and nose forward, ears back and facing to the side, mouth open and minus carved tongue. Colour: Strawberry roan, variegated mane and tail. Trappings: Blue grey stippled saddle, skirt and scrolled fender, edged in silver, banded in gold and with silver fringe on skirt edge. Pale blue outlines on saddle, skirt and fender. American shield on cantle. White diamond quilted blanket with pale blue outlines, edged in black. Green leaves on shoulder under breast collar. White breast collar with pale blue outlines, edged in black, with navy, silver and gold breast plate medallion, red outlines. Pale blue bridle with gold concho.

Part of the 1912 C.W. Parker Carousel. Carousel horse No. 37, "Old Paint." "Cowboy" style, legs extended back and front, neck and head forward, ears back. Colour: Creamy white with red mane. Trappings: (This horse is still in its "park paint"), brown saddle, with gold blanket and drape. Fish under cantle, spray of roses forward of saddle, gold breast collar edged in brown.

Object History
The Carousel 100th Anniversary event was held on May 5, 2012 at the Burnaby Village Museum. The items were given out to carousel volunteers who helped restore the carousel when it was brought to BVM. The party was to commemorate the 100 Anniversary of the building of Parker #119 in 1912. The sash was intended to be worn by the sponsor, or their representative, for each horse on the carousel.
