- Item consists of a large poster titled "Burna-bee Royal Chalet / our cabin on Hollyburn Mt." The poster includes a history about the Burnaby Royal Girl Guide Chalet on Hollyburn Mountain in West Vancouver as well as colour photographs of the cabin in the winter and summertime.The cabin was originally built in 1934 by Gus Johnson with the assistance of Tom Gibson and was then known as the Hollyburn Pacific Pacific Ski Club. It was originally constructed on the highest point of land halfway between Hollyburn Lodge and West Lake and was often used as a ski jump in the winter. The cabin was moved in 1940 to make way for the water supply from West Lake and taken apart and reerected at it's present site on Cypress Mountain. It took nine days diassemble and move the cabin log by log. It continued to be used as the Cypress Ski Club and a few years later, it was renamed the Vancouver Ski Club. It continued to be used as a ski club until 1963 when the Burnaby Girl Guides leased the building with an option to purchase which they excercised in 1965. Many guiders rode the chairlift to access the cabin for winter camping and skiing until the chairlift burned in June 1965. After the fire, access to the cabin was restricted since it took over two and a half hours to hike in depending on weather conditions.

The third page of the scrapbook includes a four page chronology titled "History of Guiding - Burnaby / 1913 - 1960" compiled by Mrs. Dolly Weber, Mrs. J. Heaps, Miss Eileen Periton, Mrs. J. Albertson and D. Fowler. The scrapbook also includes an original letter and post-script from Lady Olave Baden-Powell to Mrs. Fowler dated November 5, 1961; a typewritten copy of: "TSOONA" / PROVINCIAL GUIDE CAMPSITE - ROSEDALE B.C." and a three page typewritten copy of "THE CAMPFIRE / Volume 1, No. 4 _ November 1935 _ Vancouver, B.C.". - File consists of a typewritten history of the Burnaby North Trefoil Guild written by Eleanor Galbraith on February 1, 1999 along with her membership card, six pages of membership lists (February 1987, January 3, 1998, November 8, 1998, March 2000, January 2001 and November 2001) and a letter from Girl Guides of Canada to Eleanor Galbraith re: criminal record check. The first meeting of the Burnaby North Trefoil Guild was held at Eleanor Galbraith's home at 3950 Eton Street on February 18, 1987. The first president of the guild was Mary Montemurro with Donna Miller as Secretary and Eleanor Galbraith as treasurer. Meetings were first held at members homes and later at Willingdon Community Centre and Lochdale Hall. Members have held social events such as Christmas parties, picnics and outings on Burnaby Mountain as well as fundraising events and helping out at different Girl Guide activities.

- File consists of photographs, an illustration, ephemera and histories about Burnaby Guiding Camps including Burnaby Chalet on Cypress Mountain, Galalina Camp at Camp Olave near Sechelt B.C., Burnaby Guide Camp at Wilson Creek and a few postcards of Camp Tsoona, Rosedale B.C. A collection of written material provides historical background regarding the two storey cabin on Hollyburn Mountain. The cabin was purchased by Burnaby Girl Guides in 1964 and appropriately named Burnaby Chalet. A Chalet Committee was formed with representatives from each Division appointing a Chalet Manageress to handle reservations. This typical ski cabin can accomodate up to 40 people. The file also includes a "Campsite Log Book" for the Hollyburn Chalet with handwritten notes from 1981 and 1982, an embroidered triangular shaped badge "Burnaby Royal / Girl Guides / Hollyburn Chalet" and a dedication ceremony program for "Burnaby Guide Camp / June 8, 1958" (Wilson Creek).

- File consists of a scrapbook that was created by Eleanor Galbraith containing newspaper clippings, photographs and memorabilia pertaining to guiding in Burnaby between 1953 and 1967. The scrapbook includes a photograph of the BC Council of Girl Guides at a banquet in West Vancouver community centre, a series of photographs entitled "Practical Weekend for Camper's License / Camp Olave / May 25 - 26, 1963"; a colour program for B.C. Commissioner Training in Kelowna 1965 and group portraits of Girl Guides and leaders ca. 1960. Eleanor Galbraith joined Canadian Girl Guides in 1952 in New Brunswick. She moved to BC and Burnaby Heights in 1954 where she became lieutenant in a local Guide Company. Through the years until 1985 she served as a Guide Captain, District Guider, District Commissioner and finally Division Commissioner of Burnaby Heights Division. She was a founding member of the Burnaby North Trefoil Guild and was awarded her 50 Years of Service award in 2005.
