Eliza Chesters, mother of Eveline and grandmother of Lillian is standing at the top of the stairs. Sitting on the steps in front of her is Eveline, laughing, with her daughter Lillian, who was two years old at the time. Lillian's father, Alvera is standing at the bottom of the steps, with his hand resting on the unfinished railing.
