- Item consists of a typewritten, twenty five page report entitled "A History of the First Ten Years of the South Burnaby Men's Club", "A Club of young men dedicated to the interests of youth, in particular to the youth of South Burnaby". The booklet outlines the South Burnaby Men's Club from 1952 to 1962, with detailed information about what was accomplished during each year. The club was founded in September 1952 and began as a carpool for churchgoing residents who lived in the South Burnaby area. The club was later incorporated in 1955. The Charter Members are noted on page 4 as; Bing Bakken, Dick Brine, Ed Forsyth, Lynn Foslien, Don Kent, Joe Gibbs, Parker McCarthy, Al Nuert, Peck Peterson, Ernie Renouf, Tom Ross, Bill Selder, Cliff Wight and Lee Wilkinson. - Item consists of a large poster titled "Burna-bee Royal Chalet / our cabin on Hollyburn Mt." The poster includes a history about the Burnaby Royal Girl Guide Chalet on Hollyburn Mountain in West Vancouver as well as colour photographs of the cabin in the winter and summertime.The cabin was originally built in 1934 by Gus Johnson with the assistance of Tom Gibson and was then known as the Hollyburn Pacific Pacific Ski Club. It was originally constructed on the highest point of land halfway between Hollyburn Lodge and West Lake and was often used as a ski jump in the winter. The cabin was moved in 1940 to make way for the water supply from West Lake and taken apart and reerected at it's present site on Cypress Mountain. It took nine days diassemble and move the cabin log by log. It continued to be used as the Cypress Ski Club and a few years later, it was renamed the Vancouver Ski Club. It continued to be used as a ski club until 1963 when the Burnaby Girl Guides leased the building with an option to purchase which they excercised in 1965. Many guiders rode the chairlift to access the cabin for winter camping and skiing until the chairlift burned in June 1965. After the fire, access to the cabin was restricted since it took over two and a half hours to hike in depending on weather conditions.

Transit Centennial and includes a voice over commentary by Frank Horne and Vic Sharman. Frank and Vic worked as motormen on the BC Electric Railway. The trams are shown travelling through Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Surrey, North Delta, Langley, Abbotsford, and Chilliwack. The excursion train was filmed in Washington State, U.S.A. The narrators give commentary, describing the routes, landmarks of the past and present, the various kinds of trams and buses seen, drivers’ protocols, and historical information. Included in the scrapbook are Burnaby Council of Women committee meeting minutes, newspaper clippings and pamphlets. Glayds Killip was the Burnaby Council of Women Publicity Co-Chairwoman. In this capacity she helped to organize such events as the "100 Years of Progress in Women's Activities, Arts and Crafts" for the Centennial Celebration. The Burnaby Council of Women was formed in 1961 and was composed of representatives from women’s organizations within the municipality and was a chapter of the International Council of Women for the purpose of working towards better legislation at the municipal, provincial and federal level.

- From the film maker, Muriel Ferrari: "Born at St. Paul’s Hospital in 1949. Family moved back to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where my mother was raised. Mom and I moved to Regina (I was under one year old). My mom was a single mom – before this was even a term. She and I were taken care of by a loving and caring man. We moved around following the oil fields. We moved to Vancouver in 1962. I attended Killarney Secondary. Worked for a mortgage company, in Vancouver. I married a wonderful man in 1970. We had two daughters. We moved to Burnaby in 1975. I was the Executive Director for two non-profit organizations in Burnaby. After my cancer treatment I left my jobs to concentrate on living my life."

Tim shares background information regarding the; Nikkei Centre garden located at the Nikkei Museum and Cultural Centre; Vancouver Japanese Gardeners Association; Nitobe Garden at University of British Columbia; Momiji Garden located at the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) in Vancouver; Sakura Days - Cherry Blossom Festival projects at Van Dusen Gardens; YVR Japanese Garden Project in progress at Vancouver International Airport and The Kohan Reflection Garden in New Denver. Tim also shares information on the Vancouver Japanese Gardeners Association's future visions including a park size project similar to the Portland Japanese Garden. Tim supports his presentation with photographs and various resources related to traditional Japanese gardens and projects that the Vancouver Japanese Gardeners Association is involved in. - Tim Nishibata is a member of the Vancouver Japanese Gardeners Association. The Vancouver Japanese Gardeners Association is an independent non-profit organization established in 1959. The association consists of professional gardeners and landscapers, aiming to promote Japanese Gardens through construction, maintenance, and education techniques. Members of the association have built many beautiful Japanese gardens throughout the Lower Mainland and work with other organizations in order to increase their knowledge of and expertise in Japanese gardens. The Association provides educational workshops to its members to improve professional knowledge and skills. In 1987, the Association started the Sumi Award, which is granted annually and recognizes outstanding work in the field.
