Item consists of a typewritten, twenty five page report entitled "A History of the First Ten Years of the South Burnaby Men's Club", "A Club of young men dedicated to the interests of youth, in particular to the youth of South Burnaby". The booklet outlines the South Burnaby Men's Club from 1952 to 1962, with detailed information about what was accomplished during each year. The club was founded in September 1952 and began as a carpool for churchgoing residents who lived in the South Burnaby area. The club was later incorporated in 1955. The Charter Members are noted on page 4 as; Bing Bakken, Dick Brine, Ed Forsyth, Lynn Foslien, Don Kent, Joe Gibbs, Parker McCarthy, Al Nuert, Peck Peterson, Ernie Renouf, Tom Ross, Bill Selder, Cliff Wight and Lee Wilkinson. Club later became The South Burnaby Metro Club.

Subseries consists of photocopies and photographic copies of a collection of Love family photographs. Many of the photographs were copied from original family albums owned by Albert Parker, Esther (Love) Stanley, Gordon Love and Geroge Love. Records were created and retained during historical research of the Love family and the Love family farmhouse to help inform the Burnaby Village Museum restoration project. Family members were interviewed and provided detailed descriptions of many of the photographs. This information was transcribed in many of the photocopies of the albums. Subseries consists of records created and collected during research of the Love family and the Love family farmhouse and include oral history interviews in various formats. Interviews were conducted by Jim Wolf and Burnaby Village Museum curator Colin Stevens with members of the Love family including; Annie Chamberlain, William Parker, Esther Stanley, Albert Parker and Elsie Hughes. Interviews were focused on the subject of the interior and exterior of the farmhouse from a first person perspective. Item consists of a one page notice handwritten in Cantonese in black ink on rice paper. The rear of the shop acted as an unofficial post office for recent Chinese immgrants who needed a permanent mailing address. The notice was translated in English, the larger words translate to: "Our shop offers remittance service to Hong Kong. The process is faster than others no matter how much you are wiring. If the family of any overseas compatriots who are living in Hong Kong need money urgently, [we] can also speed up the remittance. Your patronage is very welcomed.". The smaller words translate to: "The valued customers have to take care of the remittance fee on your own. Connection to any city in the Canton province; fast and proper remittance."
