Item consists of an air mail letter written by Sergeant Colin Rhodes Fox of the Royal Canadian Artillery Service to his aunt Marianne "May" Bateman while serving overseas during World War II. Colin Fox served in the 13th Canadian Field Regiment, 44th Canadian Field Battery. In his letter, Colin reflects on Christmas dinner and how he celebrated New Years Eve. He also tells of how they put on a party for two hundred and fifty kids in town. The men in service made a bunch of toys and saved candy and chocolate bars from their parcels to gift to the children and one of them handed them out while dressed as Santa Clause. He tells of how he's going on leave again this month and thanks his aunt for gifts that she sent.

Photograph of the grave marker for Robert Burnaby and other family members in Loughborough, United Kingdom. The grave marker is a cross on three tiered slabs with plaque on each. The top one reads, "Robert Burnaby / Born Nov. 30. 1828: Died Jan. 10.1878." The middle one reads, "Sarah Burnaby / Born October 22. 1822: Died March 2 1875./ Rev. VII. 14." The bottom one reads, "Sarah, Widow of the / Rev. Thomas Burnaby, / And mother of the above. / Died: Oct. 31, 1878, Aged 80 Years."

Scope and Content
File consists of images and selected contents from a scrapbook with 38 double sided pages containing mostly photographs with some newspaper clippings, written material and emphemera including a page of badges and ribbons which reads "Enrolment & Membership Card of / Joan Bailey 1926 / 1st Burnaby" and an embroidered alphabet of the Morse Code. The third page of the scrapbook includes a four page chronology titled "History of Guiding - Burnaby / 1913 - 1960" compiled by Mrs. Dolly Weber, Mrs. J. Heaps, Miss Eileen Periton, Mrs. J. Albertson and D. Fowler. The scrapbook also includes an original letter and post-script from Lady Olave Baden-Powell to Mrs. Fowler dated November 5, 1961; a typewritten copy of: "TSOONA" / PROVINCIAL GUIDE CAMPSITE - ROSEDALE B.C." and a three page typewritten copy of "THE CAMPFIRE / Volume 1, No. 4 _ November 1935 _ Vancouver, B.C.".
