- History
- John and Frances Wuzinski moved from Manitoba to Burnaby in 1944, where they purchased an acre of land on the corner of Hastings Street and Cliff Avenue. They had two daughters: Janice and Mary Louise. They grew berries, fruit and vegetables for home and for sale, and raised bees. People came from miles around to purchase strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes and honey. In 1962 the Wuzinski property was expropriated by the Municipality of Burnaby, and the family purchased another property nearby.
