Colin Fox served in the 13th Canadian Field Regiment, 44th Canadian Field Battery. Colin is writing from hospital after being wounded while laying communication cable from the Normandy beachhead on June 8, 1944 (two days after D-Day). Colin tells of how he's been convalescing from his wounds in the hospital ward along with other soldiers; how the war may soon be over and of how his friend's wife has offered to visit him.
