Elsie married John Hughes in 1942 and they had three children; Brent, Anne and John. Sarah Parker sold the Love farmhouse to her daughter Elsie and husband John Hughes in 1966. Elsie and John Hughes had four children; John Jr., Ann, Brent and Merle. They lived in the Love farmhouse with their son Brent until 1971.
