Pages include an illustration of a Girl Guide in uniform done in pencil and watercolour along with two pages (double sided) of clippings from newspapers, magazines and a programme. The illustration page includes the name "Mabel McIntyre / Cl. 16" handwritten in pencil at the top of the page along with a sticker of a wreath. - On December 20, 1999 the name Parks and Recreation Commission (struck December 30, 1957) was changed to Parks, Recreation and Culture Commission. The Parks, Recreation and Culture Commission is the administrative power of Council relating to the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department, which is responsible for ensuring Burnaby residents have access to beautiful outdoor spaces and recreation programs and facilities, as well as cultural and fine art facilities.

- History
- Ronald G. Scobbie was born in Scotland. After graduating from high school, he worked in the mines of Scotland which led to a career as a land surveyor. Ron immigrated to Canada in 1965 and settled in North Vancouver. In 1967 he became a partner in the surveying company of Hunter, Crockford & Scobbie in New Westminster, eventually owning it under the title Scobbie and Associates between 1980 and 1995. Ron sold the business in 1995 and retired as a BC Land Surveyor in December 2003. Ron was an active member of the B.C. Land Surveyors Association and an avid collector of surveying equipment and maps and plans that document the history of surveying in British Columbia. Upon retirement, Ron donated many historical maps and plans to various repositories located in different geographical regions throughout B.C.

On January 26, 2015, the Social Issues Committee changed its name to the Social Planning Committee.

- The Traffic and Transportation Committee was established on November 20, 1989. The Committee was immediately divided in two, creating the Traffic and Transportation Committee (Traffic Safety Division) and the Traffic and Transportation Committee (Transportation and Transit Division). The Traffic and Transportation Committee (Traffic Safety Division) was concerned with matters of traffic safety including the installation of crosswalks, parking bans, traffic safety at playgrounds, and producing reports on the safety in Burnaby neighbourhoods and at schools. On January 13, 2003 these committees returned to their previously known names; the Traffic Safety Committee and Transportation Committee.

- Subseries consists of committee records for the Traffic Safety Committee including agendas, minutes, correspondence, committee reports, and various Burnaby streets.
- History
- The Traffic Safety Committee was established on April 26, 1954. The Committee advises on ways to improve the safety of Burnaby roads and streets. On November 20, 1989 all matters relating to traffic safety became the responsibility of the Traffic and Transportation Committee (Traffic Safety Division). On January 13, 2003 the Committee returned to being known as the Traffic Safety Committee. The Traffic Safety Committee was integrated with the Public Safety Committee on February 20, 2017. On January 23, 2019 Council passed a report to once again create The Traffic Safety Committee as a stand-alone committee.

- The Transportation Committee was established on February 13, 1978. From 1973 to 1977, this committee was known as the Transit Committee. It was expanded in 1978 to encompass the role of a Transportation Committee. From 1990 to 2002, the Transportation Committee was named the Traffic and Transportation Committee, also referred to as the Traffic and Transportation Committee (Transportation and Transit Division.) On January 13, 2003, the committee was once again known as the Transportation Committee. On February 20, 2017 the Transportation Committee was integrated with the Public Safety Committee.
