The man is leaning into the photograph with one hand on the swing frame. He is wearing a flat cap, suit jacket and tie. The swing appears to be located in a playground. Large trees are visible in the background and older children can be seen sitting in the grass behind the swing area. A child is visible standing to the right of the swing, but their head is blocked by a pole.
