- Digital image of newspaper clipping from the "ARTS" section of an unidentified newspaper. The photograph in the clipping is of a seated orchestra. The photograph is captioned: "The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra has grown since 1920, when this shot was taken, but one constant has been the presence of Jean Coulthard (below). The / veteran composer was at the band's first show (in 1919), performed with it during the 1930's, and honours its 75th anniversary with a special Celebration Fanfare." There is a small blue dot above one of the players on the right side of the photograph. It is Mr. Thomas Shankie.
