- Photograph of the exterior of a store on the ground floor of a two-storey building, with a sign painted on the front face of the second floor. It reads, "A. MacKenzie & Co / Jubilee Store." There are two men in suits standing out in front of the display windows that show stacks of boxes and cans. The lot around the building looks vacant, but fenced. There is a wagon drawn by a team of two horses parked or travelling towards the store on the right side of the photograph. The store was owned by Alexander MacKenzie, (1870-1949) who arrived in Vancouver in 1907. There is a discrepancy in the date of the photograph; the accession register dates the photograph 1909 while the donation form signed by the donor dates all the photographs in the accession as 1907 or 1908. Annotations on the bottom front of the card mount read: "Ralph Libby" and "Vancouver B.C." This store later became the Matheson and Sons Market.

- Photograph of the Andrew M. Johnson house "Glenedward" and surrounding property at Kingsway and Royal Oak Avenue. Andrew Johnson built the house around 1911, then occupied the residence until his death in 1934. His wife sold the property in 1943, after which, the place operated as a funeral home until 1980 or 1981. The building was then purchased by Wales McLelland development company, then went through a series of restaurant owners' hands.

- Physical Description
- 1 photograph : b&w postcard ; 8.89 x 12.07 cm
- Material Details
- The photograph is printed on a postcard paper. The postcard is copyrighted by the Chicago Ferrotype Company, 1911. The photo postcard is likely a reproduction of a ferrotype or a tintype photograph because the image tone is darker than B&W photographs printed on paper. The postcard is enclosed in a green folder with a lion face embossing on the cover.
- Scope and Content
- Photographic postcard of 7 unidentified women in white dresses of the turn of the century period. They are all wearing hats, some lavishly decorated with feathers and silk flowers. The five women seated in the front are wearing award ribbons on their chests that say "ANNUAL PICNIC". The rest of the writing on the ribbon is not decipherable. Two women are standing in the back. There appears to be a buliding and landscaped woods in the background.

- Photograph of school children with their teacher, who is standing to the right of the picture. An annotation on the back and an earlier catalogue record from 1971 indicates that the donor identified the photograph as the first class at Armstrong Avenue School, 1913, with Miss L. Crake as the teacher. However, the first two-room Armstrong Avenue School was built in 1911 with Miss Lilly Mackenzie as the teacher. The present Armstrong school was built in 1955 with eleven classrooms. Later additions to the school occurred in 1962 (two classrooms), 1964 (four classrooms), 1967 (four classrooms), and 1969 (four classrooms). Annotation in blue ballpoint pen on back of photographs reads, "1st class of Armstrong Ave School. 1913 / Miss L Crake teacher."
