In 1928 after Sarah Parker's father, Jesse Love died, William and Sarah (nee Love) Parker purchased the Love farmhouse located at 1390 Cumberland Road. They lived there until 1961, with their three children; Albert, Bill and Elsie.

- This artifact has been passed down to all the girls in subsequent generations of the family, eventually to the donor, Mrs. Whiting. This series of 26 "Elsie" girls books are said, by the donor, to have been purchased by Jesse Love and his son in law Wallace (Flash) Whiting for the youngest of Jesse and Martha Love's children Hannah Victoria (Girlie) Love, age 10 at the time, and Annie (Love) Whiting's daughter Edith, age 8 at the time. The book series seems to have made their way through some of Jesse Love's daughter's children. Mrs. Whiting. Sarah (Love) Parker, daughter of Jesse Love, even named her daughter Elsie (Parker) Hughes after the main character of the series. The books seem to have made their way through the children and grand children of Annie (Love) and Wallace Whiting. The were donated by Edna Whiting, the daughter in law of Alfred Whiting, one of Annie's sons.

- Interviewee biography: Normam Dowad was born and rasied in Burnaby. Norm graduated from Burnaby Central Secondary School, Simon Fraser University for one year, and obtained his law degree from York University. Norman began practicing law in 1974 years and has his own law practice that he operates out of Vancouver as of 2023. Interviewer biography: Eric Damer is a Burnaby Village Museum Interpreter, Museum Registrar, Researcher and Blacksmith. Eric pounded hot steel for the first time in 1977 in junior high. Fifteen years later, he joined Burnaby Village Museum where he has smithed for three decades. He also provides historical research for museum exhibits and special projects. Outside the museum, Eric is a social historian with a special interest in educational history.

An annotation on the back of one of the photos reads, "The foreground farm property stood at the corner of Sperling Avenue (formerly known as the Pole Line Road) and Buckingham. The white house in the left centre was the residence of Miss Woodward, her mother and sister. It was the first post office at 'Burnaby Lake' and the site of the kindergarten school of Miss Harriet Woodward. It later became the United Church. / The open field in the distance above the horse's head and people in the field is the field in front of the 'Manor House' which was built by Mr. Bateman in the 1920's. To the right of and beyond the white house partly hidden by the trees can be seen some of the buildings associated with the Hill farm on Deer Lake Ave. which by the date (1909) of this photo had been sold. The distant tall trees (center) stand on the site of the Municipal Buildings (DesBirsays Woods)." An annotation on the back of the other photograph reads, "Formerly belonging to Malcom Nicolson / App. 1908." Annotations at the bottom front of the photograph read, "L. People are identified from L to R as; Lucy Deacon, Sid Batton, Walter Harris, Elsie Parker, Maud, Albert Parker, Bill Parker, Elsie Parker, Jo Harris and William Parker. The tennis court was built by William Parker with help from his son Albert. The court was first made of dirt, then grass with wood layed across to flatten it out. In the late 1920s William made the court out of wood. William and Sarah (nee Love) Parker purchased the Love farmhouse at 1390 Cumberland Road in 1928 after Sarah's father, Jesse Love died. William and Sarah lived there with their three children Albert, Bill and Elsie until 1961.
