The book consists of a listing of the instructions to adhere to when using this book and is followed by entries entered by Robert Leonard Love during his training. Data recorded includes the time of day of the sighting, the type of sextant used, name of the location in which the readings were taken, the object the reading was taken from, the altitude of the object and any remarks the observer may have regarding each sighting. Entries were approved by Assistant Chief instructor at Summerside, P.E.I. with signature and stamp on page 6.
