- Photograph of a man and woman taken in a photographic studio. The woman is wearing a light coloured blouse with a necklace and eye glasses. Standing beside her is a man in a military uniform of what appears to be a Canadian soldier during World War One. On his collars, there are metal pins in the shape of "C/7." The accession register date this photograph 1917. Printed on the front of the folder cover: "A Portrait by / R.H. Carling / South Shields." Inscribed in pencil on the front of the photograph: "Auty [or July]."
