Hugh Ladner has his hat in his hand, and is leaning into the center of the frame, smiling. The "Ladnerettes" are; Chris Prentice, Francine Lightfoot, Joan Mitchell, Wendy Baldock, Maggie Wills, Judy Miller, and Joan Ladner. Hugh Ladner served as Alderman from 1968 to 1972.
