- Caption from metadata for 535-2233-1: "Denis Orlov, who just emigrated from Russia a week ago, tries to thumb a ride to Metrotown from the Middlegate area on the second day of the transit strike which has shut down bus and Skytrain service. Orlov says he was on his way to make arrangements to get his phone connected. "I'll just be waiting here, and see what happens," he says, hopefully. Five minutes later, he got a lift from a passing minvan."
